Tours
Super exciting news: Tours are starting up again! Every 2nd Saturday of the month, we will offer tours around the farm. On the tour you will get to see the avocado grove, the gardens, the orchard,
and of course the animals. Depending on what's in season, there are chances to purchase produce. Sign up for a tour! We'd love a chance to show you where what you buy comes from.
You can sign up by clicking here.

Farmers' Market Agenda
The time has finally come. In the 2nd week of May, our early varieties of avocado will be ready for the farmers' market. The Zuntano, Bacon and Fuerte will be the first to make an appearance. It has been too long since we've seen you all,
so we can't wait for when it is time to come back to the market.
In other news, some of you may remember that we planted a small herb garden last summer. It has been doing great. So great, in fact, that we have decided to bring some herbs to the farmers' market this upcoming summer. We will keep you updated on what weeks we will bring them.

The asparagus crop is coming in strong, and the figs are now in leaf. The apple, peach, and nectarine trees are starting to bloom.
This past summer we harvested over 200 nectarines from our tree, but the crop has not always done so well. Six years ago, we planted our nectarine tree and it took a couple years before it even started to pop out a few fruit. Over the years, the crop got bigger, but there was a problem with the squirrels. The fuzzy critters would steal all the nectarines they
could find and we would wake up to an empty tree. However, after coming up with a strategy to thin out the clusters of nectarines on each branch and bag the fruit, we have been safe from the fruit thieves. We are hoping for another great year of harvest from our little tree again this year.

Chickpea and Lemon Curry
The citrus orchard continues to give us lots of fresh lemons. Because of that we wanted to try this new recipe inspired by Limoneira. The creamy and cozy result was delicious, and here it is for you to try!
We modified the recipe a bit to include mushrooms, since we purchased some from E & H Farms at the farmers' market last week.
